Hey guys. I’m working on my pianist portfolio which I plan to use Substack to distribute in the future as I look for work as a pianist.
It mostly involves endless practicing which is a load of fun. But another aspect is filming videos of my performances. I’ve been experimenting a lot with it and recently started trying to emulate the bird’s eye view camera positioning that some of the biggest piano YouTubers use.
Here is my most recent camera test. The performance is a little rough and I make a few mistakes because I wasn’t focussed on the playing side of it, just the camera and video side. The song is by Rob Dougan and has the unfortunate title ‘Clubbed To Death’, you might have heard it on the Matrix soundtrack…
I also noticed that the audio went out of synch with my playing after I exported the video so apologies for that…
I’d love to know what you think of the camera angle. Is it interesting enough as a piano video? Or do you prefer the previous video I made of this piece in the post below?
Either way, hope you enjoy. Don’t forget to subscribe to my dedicated Substack page ‘Pete Brennan - Singer/Songwriter’ to hear all of my musical work in the future…
Thanks for reading, watching & listening…
